The All Ireland Horseshoe Competitions are taking place at Bridge Meadow, Bunclody from August 23rd to 25th 2019. The Woodsmen Horseshoe Club will host the event and will be attempting to win the All Ireland club for the tenth time, which would be unequalled.
Competitions are as follows: Friday – All Ireland open pairs; Saturday – All Ireland Club in two divisions, and All Ireland Counties in two divisions; Sunday – All Ireland pairs in two divisions, and All Ireland Ringers.
The presentation of prizes will be at The Rivers Edge, Bunclody on Sunday evening from 9 pm onwards.
Liam Bond and Chris Mc Donald deserve great credit for formalizing the club in the early seventies, and keeping it together up to the present day, which is a feat in itself.
The Woodsmen team members are Chris McDonald, Michael Redmond, Paddy Connors, Phil Mahon, Tom Connors, John Giltrap, Brendan Earle and Liam Bond.
